My “Life in a Day”
6 Aug
I recently submitted 10 minutes of raw, unedited clips of my days activities on July 24th, 2010. The submission was to a YouTube sponsored project called “Life in a Day”.
Life In A Day is a historic global experiment to create the world’s largest user-generated feature film: a documentary, shot in a single day, by participants. On July 24, I had 24 hours to capture a glimpse of my life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film, executive produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.
Now I’m not necessarilly saying that my footage, nor what I was doing was compelling or distictive, but I just happened to be fixing a flat tire on a vintage Triumph. that was interesting enough for me and what I actually happened to be doing that day!
Producers of footage used in the film will be given producers credit and for a lucky few, a nice trip to Sundance 2011! I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything. You can learn more about the project at youtube.com/lifeinaday
